Slinky Machine’s Guestival – Monday 28 May
Slinky Machine
Website: www.slinkymachine.co.uk
This is our official festival wind down (or is it a wind up?) party hosted by jazz fusion maestros, Slinky Machine, whose friends and assorted guests, will be digging deep to blend jazzy grooves and funky chops into a two hour festival finale on Bank Holiday Monday.
They will perform their own signature blend of jazz fusion covers and original material. And a notable roster of artists keen to strut their stuff will join them.
Slinky Machine is a four-piece modern jazz fusion band whose setlist ranges from original material to fusion favourites – with some classy re-workings of contemporary tunes.
Equally at home in the intimate setting of a jazz bar as they are playing to a festival crowd, their distinctive sound combines Moog and Hammond organ fused with a pulsating rhythm section. Their exciting, dynamic sound gives a new twist to progressive jazz. Kick back, grab a bite to eat and a drink and enjoy the slinky sounds.
Ian Kindred (keyboards); Peter Earle (bass); John Robertson (guitar); Joe Musto (drums)
