One of a very select number of UK tour dates, Georgie Fame, appears in a special up close concert in the intimate setting of Marine Theatre at the start of the Jazz Jurassica festival.
With his much loved blend of jazz and R& B, he’s consistently worked in the highest musical circles and occupies iconic status in the British music scene.
So far there have been more than twenty albums and fourteen hit singles, including Top Ten hits such as Yeh Yeh, Get Away and The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde. Add to this a long list of collaborations with some of music’s most famous names, including Muddy Waters, Gene Vincent, Bill Wyman, Eric Clapton and Van Morrison, amongst many others, and in Georgie Fame you’ve got a bona fide music legend!
In this one-off intimate evening, audiences will be treated to Georgie’s hits, alongside music from the artists that have influenced him – all interspersed with personal stories and anecdotes from his incredible career.
* please note this special guest appearance organised in conjunction with Marine Theatre is not included in the festival’s Weekend Ticket.
